Renovation

We are renovating our master bathroom, it's a mess. So far we've got the floor covering pulled up and ready for new laminate. We've also got the sinks out and mirrors & lights down ready to be replaced. The toilet is being reset so it's out of commission for a few days. It's amazing how hard it is to deal with only having one bathroom after being used to having two. I don't feel like posting pictures of the whole mess.

It does mean plenty of trips to Menards!

Reconnecting With who I Really am

Nothing new has been happening here at the homestead, our personal lives haven't changed much... I am putting in job applications all over the place and still holding close to my camera.

Not going to lie, there were some moments when I wanted to throw the camera aside. This is my first and only public mention of this but I'd fallen into a bit of depression when I got hurt by trusting people too much. My business was damaged severely, my pride was hurt and my faith in humanity was scarred even more. I've been brushing it all off, chalking it up to experience and always remembering that EVERYTHING happens for a reason.

We've still been hitting the road, like we love to do. These past couple trips have made me realize even more that my heart is in nature and abstract. Somewhere down the line I left myself on the Wyoming/Montana border.Upon being back from these adventures and letting certain moments sink in, I've come to realize just how thankful I truly am for what I am able to do... the talents I was given for some strange reason, the world we are free to explore, the people I TRULY love and what life allows us.The human mind is capable of so much, it's amazing. I think it's time we all start reminding ourselves of who we are. If you don't know who you are by now, if you're not sure what makes you tick... it's important to take the time to find out, it's never too late. Time to start living for what makes YOU happy, quit complaining about boredom and put that mind to work!

Spring on the Farm

Saturday, my good friends April and Krista joined me in a trip to Sauder Village. They were doing a special day that shows how people got ready for spring back in the old days. We had a blast watching all of the interpreters go about their day as if they lived in the 1800s and early 1900s... Children were playing old fashioned games on the grass, adults were cooking delicious smelling foods in the kitchens, farmers were plowing, all the artists were busy creating for the new season and there were baby animals everywhere. It was such a good day, laughing, relaxing, riding the train, hanging out with friends and stuffing our faces full of sweets.

Yesterday was a quiet day with the family, we went to Red Lobster then hung out watching the Superbowl....
I watched it for the commercials and to make fun of the halftime show....
they enjoyed the game.

Ok ok first off, I'm going to get myself back into blogging. I love writing on here, I love expressing myself and sharing it. I fell into a bit of a slump where I didn't feel like sharing ANYTHING publicly but then I started missing this blog and posting my photos...

sooo here I am. January went so slooooow and I kinda liked it that way. I want this year to mosey. I'll do my first post of 2011 in my favorite style... bullets....

Back in October, t'was my momma's 50th birthday. I love her tons, she's the coolest, kindest mom ever. She didn't want a big deal made about it so it was just cake and ice cream at my Gran's with the people who care about her.
That same weekend, Mike and I took the kids to Chicago. It was the kids' first time! We hit Navy Pier, The Skydeck, one huge mall and Medieval Times. Everyone was excited to have their first taxi ride too. What little country bumpkins we are haha... what a weekend that was.
My grandma has been in and out of the hospital since Christmas, this past weekend was the scariest and craziest hospital visit in history. But she seems to be getting stronger and I'm staying positive.
We have a winter storm hitting us right now, freezing rain, snow and gusts of wind. I look for the area to be shut down all night tonight and day tomorrow. Peaceful. Just, hopefully, we can keep our electricity.
My new addiction is phone reviews on youtube LOL. That all started when my last contract went up and I was so eager to get rid of my EnV2 that I started research immediately.
We now have more storage space in our home and it's FANTASTIC. Finally, we got the old shower ripped out of the master bath and dry walled and painted. Mike put strong shelving up and voila, extra closet. Also, a new cabinet in the living room. Much much needed.
Mike and I are in the process of planning this summer's vacation(s) this always keeps us occupied in the winter
ok ok big news for me, I doubt anyone else cares about all this ha. But I've now taken the leap into "first person shooter" video games! Something I never thought I'd be good at. It's a whole new world and quite fun.
Tomorrow is my dad's birthday. He's a groundhog.
Super bowl Sunday is MY birthday! Tons of people everywhere will be partyin' it up on my day hehe. I can like that.

Settled back into reality

We are home from vacation #2, once again, we traveled east... Mystic CT, Baltimore MD, Virginia Beach, Shenandoah National Park and Hershey PA. It was a blast! I'm going through the TONS of pictures from Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Village, National Aquarium, Baltimore Waterfront, Medieval Times Dinner, Shenandoah, and Hershey's Chocolate World! I am looking up Newport, Kentucky information since this weekend we are taking a little trip down to the Aquarium/Levee

There is something comforting about the yellow glow of the light against our gray walls and I am relaxed, comfortable with the air on low. It's been a good night, I would imagine before falling asleep, a game of Mario Kart on the N64 will be played.

The New England area... New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts and spent a little time in Lake Placid, New York

We did some puffin watching and enjoyed the beautiful scenery as well as fresh seafood! The harbor towns in Maine are packed FULL of awesome shops and restaurants. I even got to see a good friend from high school who had moved away to Boston for her grad schooling! Salem is amazing too, such rich dark history... and of course, great tourism and shopping. The drive home provoked a little detour down into Punxsutawney, PA. We needed this trip, it was awesome to get away from every day life for that week.

Unfortunately I have been having major issues uploading pictures to both Flickr and this blog. This computer is slowly dying on me. The screen is not even attached anymore... fun times....

My last adventure was with my mom, we cruised the ohio countryside taking pictures and checking out some "local" wild bald eagles! Yep, a nesting pair of bald eagles right here near our home... I plan on checking up on them once in a while. They're so beautiful.

Hopefully I can get these computer issues worked out soon so I can upload some eye candy for you all.

A new decade

December became busy with Holiday preparations. 2009's Christmas morning felt like it did when I was little. My mom came to our place and helped make a tasty breakfast pizza, we opened gifts and watched King of the Hill...of course tons of laughter & happiness was involved. It really was a Christmas to remember.

The next morning, Mike and I did some running around with FromAndreaLynn & took advantage of the after Christmas sales.

From Dec. 31 to now...

New Year's Eve was very peaceful, there was plenty of time for quiet reflecting and thoughts
I sniffled and sneezed my way into the new year... am finally feeling much better
We got our Christmas tree down along with a deep clean of our spare room
Mike and I took a nice little weekend trip and did some fabulous relaxing, driving & antique shopping... much needed
We've battled frozen water pipes... and won thanks to a hardworking friend
The Granny was admitted into the hospital with pneumonia... but is doing very well
My cousins and I made some amazing messy s'mores
My mom and I got to spend some quality time together while house sitting at the Granny's
I am watching a sleeping schnauzer dream while continuing the house sitting
The weather outside is COLD and very snowy, it's beautiful

2009 disappeared in a flash

and the new decade has already been a whirlwind... but everything feels good

Senior session Erica seemed just like a model, all of her pictures came out great! She's good at showin' the camera some sass!

I am totally distraught right now as I have lost my 2gb memory card, Mike and I took a trip to our favorite little historic village for their Christmas lantern tour. All of my pictures from there happen to be on that card.

I have my Christmas tree up, loving every single minute of it. Also loving wrapping packages and making them look all pretty under there. This time of year is so wonderful, I'm like a little kid with all of the lights and cheer.

I opened my eyes to a TV lit bedroom, realized there was a cat completely stretched out across my tummy and decided to lay there for a bit. I scratched on his ears and tried to relax, attempting to drift back into sleep. He sure didn't show any signs of stirring anytime soon. After a while, I just decided to wake up. So I pulled my phone out from under my pillow and read the time... 3:17am. Go figure... so I nudged Meow Yen until he hopped down, turned on the furnace, wrapped a blanket around me and flopped on the couch. Now, almost 2 hours later, here I sit. Wide awake after surfing Flickr, filling out a facebook survey and reading some favorite blogs... going back to sleep anytime soon is out of the question.

So I decided to blab about being awake and share, with you, these pictures that I took yesterday. I love how one is colorful and the other is gray, yet they both feel solemn

Saturday Nov 7, Mike and I traveled up to Cleveland for OddMall. I helped my friend FromAndreaLynn with her booth. We took turns manning the money and chatting with people so each of us had a chance to walk around. We also kept each other company just sitting together. There was lots of laughter and some frustration but it was a fabulous experience. I loved seeing all the amazingly talented people, the place was huge and I went broke. Oh well, got lots of Christmas shopping done. Snuck a lot in for myself though.... I can never resist art.

With such beautiful weather we've been lucky enough to have, the sunrises and sunsets have been unbelievable this fall. I'm such a sucker for the layered colors and whispy clouds. To me, these look like the plains of Africa not the fields of Ohio.

The trees are starting to change colors, the air is starting to get cooler! YAY!

Yesterday I got to hang out with my two best friends, we met up with my mom for a chinese food lunch then piddled around one of the nearby college towns to do some shopping. On the way home we stopped for chinese leftovers at a quiet little park.

I am excited to say I found a cute red tea kettle, something I have been wanting for a while now!

Tomorrow is the annual Harvest & Herb fest, something my family looks forward to every year

Facebook's 25 random things

1. I love interior decorating but cannot stand to paint walls

2. It's really funny how Mike has gotten me into The Weather Channel and local radar... now with the smallest hint of rain I feel like running to the TV

3. I think I'm addicted to specialty shops, handmade boutiques and souvenir stores

4. It takes me a good 1/2 hour to really wake up in the mornings but once I'm up it doesn't take me long to get bathed and dressed

5. I would cook all the time if I were given the chance

6. The idea of a packaged vacation irks me and I loathe tour buses

7. I love wrapping and giving gifts, always thought it would be fun to work at a department store's wrapping counter

8. Some day I want to bake and decorate a really cool cake (like Ace of Cakes)

9. MTV makes me angry

10. I have been in 27 U.S. states

11. Ever since I was little, I've named anything and everything... some could say I'm obsessed with names, I've got piles of lists that I've made through the years

12. Faces on inanimate objects make me very uneasy, I can't sleep in a room with dolls in it

13. Peanut Butter should be its own food group, I looove it, sometimes I goop a spoonful and eat it like a lollipop

14. When I was younger I was blessed by the fact that my best friend lived right beside me, if we weren't together at my house, we were at hers or out about the town somewhere together. Now she lives a little over an hour away and we are still as closely bonded as ever.

15. I crave cookouts, bonfires and time outside

16. Volleyball really is fun, I should have played in school I just didn't want to wear the stupid uniforms or be a "Lady Ram" haha

17. Extremely crispy crust and loads of cheese makes the perfect pizza

18. Sometimes when I look at my cats I can't help but think of them as little people with little personalities, they are so interesting.

19. I love working with my hands, from painting and doodling to making clay ornaments and stringing jewelry

20. ^Which reminds me, I'd like to get into basket weaving in the near future

21. I enjoy every season for different reasons... Winter for the peacefulness, Spring for the freshness and beginning of warmth, Summer for the sunshine and freedom of travels... but I will always love Autumn with the crisp air, changing colors, pumpkins, campfires, Halloween and the excitement of one last chance to get out and go

22. I still get the urge to open a coloring book and pack of crayons... and color pictures for hours... so I do

23. Once when I was about 16 or 17, I was standing on a chair in the computer room, to reach something on a shelf and slipped... I came down on the right side of my neck and shoulder, skinned them both up and looked as if I had a GIANT hickey. My neck has not been "right" since and I will never forget the look on Catie's face when it happened.

24. I do not like driving... ok... "do not like" is an understatement

25. I cannot eat bacon if I've met the pig... and I stay way from any other meat except poultry

I slept good, that was needed. Let's see if I can catch you all up on my September so far...

Mike and I took off to Kentucky for 2 days, we just explored the mountains and beautiful nature of the state. We stayed at an adorable little inn and bought some pumpkin pie fudge that was amazing, it prompted mom to find a recipe and make it.

We had a HUGE yard sale at my aunt's house. It went Friday to Monday. We did pretty darn good, but in the end we were sick of the sale and ready to shut it down. My stuff is hauled off to goodwill

The local school put in wind turbines as an alternative power program to teach kids about going green, I was very impressed and anybody who knows me, knows I am infatuated with wind turbines. They are right around the corner from where I live and if I walk down the street a little I can see them in all their glory. I haven't been able to get a picture as it's been super foggy and they don't show up. They're not as big as a regular turbine but they are awesome all the same. I'll have to take a little drive down there with my camry.

The week also wasn't complete without a trip to "the village" as I call it, this time we took my favorite kiddos. They LOVED it and decided they'd like a membership too. I'm sure you are all sick of hearing about the place but we really do love it there. This time we got to see the glazed but unfired version of one of our mugs... I love it already and I love that we have been able to see it in almost every stage of its completion.

I am taking fall pictures of my little buddy, Caiden, today... he and his mommy are moving to Texas on Saturday and I will miss them.

Just Can't Get Enough

Our membership to Sauder Village has come in handy! We've used it twice now, once Mike and I went up to see the animals and grab some ice cream, we also placed an order for some custom mugs. (Mark Nafziger does amazing work.) Then this past Saturday, I went with my mom and dad to walk around and enjoy the beautiful day. We watched a little of the vintage baseball game between the Black Swamp Frogs and the Ohio Village Muffins. It had been a long time since my parents visited, we had a great time.

I came home with some Star Anise to put in my window and make my house smell yummy

Now I am off to visit with the fam over some chili (The weather is perfect for chili right now)

It's 1AM, I guess it's a good time to ramble

There is NOTHING on TV worth watching so the gray bedroom is filled with a blue glow coming from the Weather Channel... but the volume is off
I am being soothed by the sound and coolness of the air conditioner in the window right beside the bed
I am snuggled under my favorite quilt that my aunt made me, it was made with my favorite old ragged blanket that was on my bed as a child... a heavy fleece blanket sandwiched between two thick pieces of fabric.
I am on the edge of the bed with my legs dangling off, a small portable desk scooted up to me
The desk that the laptop is sitting on has a slight squeak to it... which sounds much louder than it really is because of the silence
I hear the cats playing in the kitchen... random thumps and squeals
Mike is in a deep sleep... not the least bit aware of anything around him
Something in me wants to sleep but my mind is wide awake, I'm getting a creative urge to try something new or different

Summer Days, Random Road Trips

Monday/Tuesday: a trip to Detroit, MI to a place called Town Peddler Craft and Antique Mall. We were also excited to learn that Canton, MI has an IKEA, which inspired a spur of the moment stop for some new glasses and a few other little home accessories ...

Wednesday/Thursday: Lake Erie's Marblehead Lighthouse and Sauder Village

My parents took me to Sauder Village as a kid and I remember loving it. I still play with the Jacob's Ladder my mom bought me that day. Mike and I both love handmade goodies and history, so what a perfect place to enjoy together, besides, I wanted to refresh my memory of the village. We ended up coming home with some cool crafts, newly acquired knowledge of the past and a heck of a sugar rush from all the sweet treats available. Our wallets now hold a membership card to the village and our hearts hold plans of going back as much as possible.

Michael, the goofball of my dreams, celebrated his birthday yesterday. We had a southern cooked dinner of greens from the garden and a sweet overload of cake and coldstone creamery ice cream. I had fun yesterday being a college graduate! (Saying that just does not get old.) Jeanne McKee of Ada, OH made this wonderful cake. Everything on it was edible. Not only did it look fabulous but it tastes amazing too. I'm getting ready to go back to The Granny's to enjoy a piece of the leftovers.

The first day of kindergarten my mom took my picture, the classic pose of a child dressed nice and holding a backpack. I still have that Beauty and the Beast backpack, although now it's worn and way too small. Supplies were a pencil box, pencils, crayons, elmer's glue, safety scissors, tissues, plastic bags and one folder. I smile when I think about elementary school, the careless times of playing on the playground with everybody, homework mostly involved practicing letters or coloring. I remember many days of my elementary school "career." I swear sometimes I can smell that building and can't help but feel at ease. The best time of a kid's life and they don't realize it until it's gone.

Middle school got harder, the homework consisted of up to 4 hours worth of math, science, literature and history. The teachers got tougher, recess was not as long and cliques were starting to form all over the playground. I went through several unimportant backpacks and supplies consisted of trapper keepers, folders, markers, stick glue, pencils and pens. Even though I was invited to writing competitions all the time, nothing felt special. I have put middle school behind me, only remembering the important days.

High school is something I will never forget simply because it was so unbelievably pointless to be in those classrooms. I joined the Drama club which was probably the best thing I've ever done. My school did not cater towards students who were not into sports. I was an artistic theatre student who was tossed into a group of outcasts. I wore clothes nobody understood, a dog chain around my neck and carried army style bags. The unofficial list of supplies consisted of binders, folders, highlighters, pencils, pens and colored pencils. I spent most of my time working on an art project. My best days were spent with my little group of girls laughing hysterically around the lunch table as we made fun of the teachers and popular students. Those girls and I had some great times together, we formed a friendship that carried us through the entire 4 years of high school. Junior year I joined the yearbook staff, senior year I was editor. Senior class took a 4 day trip to New York City. The art teacher hated me because I was my own person and didn't do the cute little flowery projects she likes, she was an old fart that taught my mom too... and was an old fart then. Other teachers never understood me but I got away with what I wanted because I got good grades. French class was interesting, I think I passed that because we could cook for extra credit. I was voted most artistic for the yearbook. Upon graduating, we all went our own seperate ways, I don't think I would be in touch with anybody if it werent for facebook. I am really not sure I would even look for other people than the old lunch table.

You know how I feel about college, I'll spare you the details... I got through it with just one of my lifelong friends, we shared a hatred for the place as we struggled through the general ed classes together. I carried the same black backpack the whole time, supplies were mostly notebooks and ink pens. I miss my computer classes, but I don't miss anything else... I am gone from that place, and as of now, I never have to step foot into another classroom.

Funny how our young lives revolve around time spent in a room with blackboards and books.

This is my last week of school, today is my last class. I am awake, wide awake, more than I've ever been before.
The morning is bright and quiet.
I have chicken corndogs in the oven... because they sound good, and a freshly made jar of sun tea in the fridge.
My cats are in the window, their eyes are big and their ears are flat. Both are excited because there are birds in the grass.
Being here right now makes me feel comfortable.
Even though it's only going to be around 55 degrees today, that's ok... it only means I can enjoy the very last class I will ever take at Rhodes in a hoodie.

Graduation wrap up was yesterday for all the graduating seniors. My friend Nikki and I went together to get cake, punch and Rhodes's definition of a gift (a license plate tag that says "Rhodes Alumni.") I also bought my drab colored tassel, with a gold "09" on it. It's ugly but that's ok, it's mine... and just another way of saying "I'M OUTTA THERE!"

In honor of graduation, my mom bought me a brand new fancy Canon came ra. Mike and I drove down to Sidney, OH to pick it up. After that we went to Pizzeria Uno. I had some of the best pizza I've ever bitten into, a four cheese and pesto deep dish...mmm. For dessert, a warm brownie topped with ice cream and whipped cream. The drive back home was relaxing. It felt really nice to be on the road a little. (taken with my phone)

I guess I can say I'm happy!

Instead of celebrating one day of momma love, I gave her the weekend. It started Saturday afternoon with popcorn, pop and Marley & Me. We laughed and cried together as we watched it, a very cute movie. After the movie was over and we wiped our eyes, the mail car pulled into the driveway to deliver a package. Mom's present arrived just in time... a set of vintage glasses for her vintage kitchen themed patio. (picture from the ebay listing where I ordered them)

After that she and I took off to The Granny's house where the usual laughter and talking went on. Mom and I ended the day together with a tiny trip to the store.

Sunday started in the morning with the family at Granny's. We had cinnamon rolls, donuts and coffee, everybody was in a great mood. As the day went on we indulged in smoothies...

A Rainy Day

My lil' pal Andrea came to visit for 3 days. She and I have been having a great time. The first day was full of stuffing our faces, enjoying the beautiful weather and tons of laughter. The second, we joined up with one of our mutual friends and Mike to explore an Antique Mall and some Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream, it also was a gorgeous day.

Today is a rainy day, not quite gray, just rainy.

I'm enjoying the smell of the dampness, the feeling of the cold drops and a bit of a breeze
The exam in Psych only took me half an hour to complete and I was homeward bound
Ah it's comfy in my favorite hoodie and my favorite sweat pants
I'm spendin' time at The Granny's house with my cousins and mom
We have been listening to music and talking about Al Capone and his gang
Grant, who is 11, came walking in with a bubble gum cigar stating that he IS Al Capone
Catie, the goofy 13 that she is, has been taking pictures with her newly aquired $5 bill that she has named "Washington"

Weekend Getaway

This past weekend, Mike and I took a much needed trip down to two of our favorite flea markets.

A few of the reasons why Trader's World is one of my favorite places!

Cars are greeted at the gate with a line of animal statues and recorded sounds of the jungle It's so bright and tackyOne of the stores was promoting a DVD sale with this...

We spent Saturday at Trader's World and that night in a hotel then Sunday was spent at Treasure Aisles, their website may be better than Trader's World's but the atmosphere is not the same and their pirate theme is a joke (basically just a couple of posters hung here and there with 2 or 3 people walking around in costume.) Don't get me wrong, it's still a fun place with great items...both days we found lots of goodies.

Saturday mom and I went to a local auction. There wasn't really that much there that caught my eye. Mom got a pretty cool vintage wash basin that she wants to put on her back patio to go with her vintage theme. I spotted a box full of vintage wrapping papers and gift bags, but that went for way more money than it seemed worth, especially since there was an old tape player in the bottom of it. All in all it was worth going just to people watch but when it comes to buying, I think I'll stick to garage sales, thrift shops and flea markets.

It's entertaining to listen to the auctioneer. After a while of hearing him, it starts sounding like he's saying stuff he really isn't. Interpreting him is quite a game...to tell you the truth I don't even remember most of what I was picking up on now.

I snuck some pictures of a family of Amish kids having lunch. They were so cute sitting against that white barn, I couldn't resist.

March 26, Mike and I took a tiny day trip, we stopped by the Bowling Green wind farm and then headed up to the Toledo Art Museum & Glass Pavilion.

I've been sorting out my college situation and class scheduling, we started back March 30. I have 1 class this quarter... AND filed for graduation!! Yay! When June comes around, I will finally have a degree! I can already feel a big difference in my happiness. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted.

About a month ago, I joined a site called Swap-Bot. Where we are randomly matched up with partners from all over the US (or world if you choose to.) We then check the profile of the person we got and send them a package containing little goodies.... It's so much fun to pull a package out of the mail and have no idea what's in it. Today I received my first swap package!

It's even more fun when everything's all nicely wrapped and boxed like the package Muggyfly sent me! Everything that was in it was so perfect, from a beautiful glass seahorse pendant to Dr. Seuss pencils and more... Thank You!

Oh Today how I've Longed for Thee

It's officially spring break for me. Tuesday is Mike's last day of class for the quarter and then Thursday we are treating ourselves to a trip. We're heading to the Indianapolis Zoo. Out of all the zoos we've been to and all the animals we've seen, no walruses have been included. So here we come Nereus and friends, we're gonna come visit you at the Indy Zoo!

The weather this past week has been wonderful, it's been warm enough to be outside and we have taken full advantage of it. We even got a nice rain/thunderstorm one of those days. I can't wait to start cooking out and taking random trips to the pond... I can't wait to play cornhole and not have a "bedtime." I can't wait for roadtrips, hotels and flea markets!Winter is usually tolerable but this one has pushed my buttons, unfortunately the switch has been on full blast.

It was freezing cold all day today. I didn't want to leave the warmth of home and my big comfy chair. Alas, I ventured out to get the mail. It was worth battling the wind and chill, because today the package I was anxiously awaiting came in! I ordered a camera neck strap from Phatstraps on Etsy. It's gorgeous and so well made, the quality is unbeatable. She's super nice, does a wonderful job with the shop and makes it very easy to request custom orders.So now the four of us are tucked away inside tonight. There are only 2 weeks of classes left. I can't tell you what a weight that lifts. Hopefully I pass these classes and can move on to my last quarter! That's right, I can graduate in the summer if all goes well.

Also, the weather warmed up a little this week and it felt sooo very good to be outside without being bundled up. Andrea came up to visit, she treated me to a post-birthday dinner then we spent the afternoon shopping. Other than that, there hasn't been much going on... maybe some homework and little family time.

Ah today, a cold wet and grey day. It was a day for laundry, dishes and the treat of sleeping in without worrying about school. A day of lounging and surfing etsy while cuddling with the two kitties. Mike started a new assistant manager position at work today, and his day started early. So he is in slumberland right now.

Our area got a nice storm a couple days ago. Thunder with rain and extremely high winds. Then some gorgeous sunset colors in the evening.Tuesday, Mike and I decided to explore an antique mall we've never been to. This places had so many unique items, we spent the afternoon browsing.

It's beautiful outside right now, totally white and very fluffy. It started yesterday early evening and is still going strong. I sink over knee deep into the snow. Record temperatures abound here in Ohio as the thermometer hit in the negative numbers, we're talkin -11 and so on. Ohio winters are cold, but this is something we're not used to. Lots and lots of being inside is making us stir crazy. The times I have decided to venture out led to slipping around and some falling... right on my butt once, which led to a multi-colored (mostly purple) giant bruise right smack on my left cheek. It's really not pretty... and no...I will not post a picture.

But I will post pictures about this...
